Operating Windows 98 and Windows ME
Windows 9x is an evolution of the MS-DOS and Windows 3.1x environments. It is a 32-bit operating environment offering improved performance, pre-emptive multi-tasking and multi-threading operation, advanced hardware support, improved stability, and the ability to manage large amounts of memory. The Windows 98 and Windows ME operating systems can be broken down into two major components: the core and ancillary systems.
